In the 1980’s Noel and his family travelled a few times to Portugal and spent time in the hilltown of Penedo, approximately 2 hours drive north of Lisbon. The whitewashed buildings, blue skies and beautiful countryside resulted in many paintings that are treasured by his family and friends.
